Welcome to Save the Kappa!
Welcome to Save the Kappa. A grassroots movement to save the GM Kappa platform based cars. The Kappa platform is the basis for the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, Opel GT, and Daewoo G2X cars produced in Wilmington, Delaware by GM. Nothing official has been stated by GM but as involved owners we can see the writing on the wall with the current economic issues that our beloved Kappa cars could soon be put on the chopping block. Our goal for setting up STK is to provide the resources to other owners and fans to let GM know how important it is to continue producing these cars not only to ourselves but to the industry. I implore you to look around, read our resources, sign the petition, let your friends know, and most importantly write to the individuals at GM. Tell them how much you love your car, the camaraderie you share with other owners, the enjoyment they bring you, the prestige they've brought to their brands that has been long missing, and the impact on not only you but the rest of the affordable Roadster market.

I have added a new individual to write, Thomas G. Stephens, who will be the new GM Vice Chairman, Global Product Development starting April 1st, 2009 when Bob Lutz steps down from that position. If you've sent letters already please try to send an new one to him as well.

New files, File Primer, and Signature blocks

We've added Pre Done STK Letter files to the downloads section. These is a pre written letter to print and sign and send to those on the list. We've also added a Files Primer to explain all of the files to make deciding what to download easier.

I've also added some example forum signature BBC blocks to add to help spread the word. You can find them in the What We Can Do section.

Additional file downlaods

I just added RTF and TXT versions of the Guided letter template for those without Word. I've also made all of the Word templates ZIP files due to an issue with the download script and certain browsers.

I've updated the list of people to write to include their mailing addresses and official titles. Get to writing those letters!

Today I added three new files to the Downloads section. A Guided Letter Word Template which includes lots of examples and questions to help write a letter to GM, a Blank Letter Word Template with proper formatting for a nice looking letter, and a ZIP file of both of these Templates.
I also added a Save the Kappa petition which can be found from the Sign the STK Petition page or the top right of the website.
